Capturing a Member’s Picture

Gym Assistant can capture member photos for display with a member’s Check-In information.  You have three options to add a member photo in Gym Assistant: 

Note: A web camera source must be connected to your computer and functioning correctly for this function. This button is only visible if you have installed and enabled the Photo Capture add-on.  (See the “Photo Capture Setup” document for details)

Setting up Photo Capture

  1. Select Photo Capture from the Settings menu.

  1. Check the Photo Capture Enabled box.

The PhotoCapture functionality must be purchased with Gym Assistant.  If you have not yet entered your PhotoCapture registration code you will have to enter the code now before continuing.

  1. Set the Video Capture Driver to Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win32).
  2. Click Test to test the video capture settings.

Note: If this is the first time you have connected to your webcam (or if you have more than one webcam attached to your computer) then the Video Source window will appear.  Select the desired webcam and click OK.

Editing a Member Picture

While viewing a member record click the member photo box or click Picture.

Note:  If the photo box or Picture button do not appear in the View Member Info window then you must enable Photo Capture.  See Setting Up Photo Capture above.

Capturing a New Picture

  1. Click Capture New Picture and the Picture Capture window will appear.
  2. To freeze the image, press the ENTER key or click Capture.

  1. To un-freeze the image and return to live video, click Preview.
  2. To adjust the captured image size and resolution, click Format.
  3. To adjust the image brightness and contrast or zooming, click Source.
  4. When you are satisfied with the image you have captured, click Save.
